About the event
“Where have all the insects gone? Why insect declines matter and how we can help”. The talk will be for 30-40 mins plus questions in the Pearl Beach Memorial Hall (9 Diamond Rd) followed by a nature walk through the Pearl Beach Arboretum to the Arboretum Cottage where afternoon tea will be served.
Assoc. Prof. Tanya Latty is an entomologist with a special interest in insect behaviour and ecology. She has a BSc in Biology and Environmental Science and a PhD in insect ecology. She is passionate about insect conservation, behaviour and ecology. Tanya will also talk about the use of iNaturalist to contribute to citizen science.
