Working Bee and Sustainability Talk


Working Bee Sunday 15 Feb 9am.

All are welcome at Arboretum Working Bees usually held on the 3rd Sunday of the Month.

There is much to be done after the floods, so if it is raining we will postpone the Working Bee until the following Sunday at 9am - i.e. Sunday 1 March 2026. Meet at 9am at the Arbroetum Cottage near the Crystal Avenue Carpark. We finish with a delicious morning tea at 11am.


Community Seminar Sat 28 Feb - Climate Change and Sustainable Design.

The Environment Subcommittee of the Pearl Beach Progress Association is hosting a community seminar at 5pm on Saturday 28 February in the Pearl Beach Memorial Hall at 9 Diamond Road Pearl Beach. Don't miss this talk by award winning architect Carol Marra who will explain a design approach which brings together people, buildings and nature in a holistic and considered way. Minimal charge to cover speaker's travel and refreshments. BOOK NOW!

Music in the Arboretum - The Bathtub Gin Orchestra - Sunday 12 April.

A special 50th Anniversary Concert under the trees. Sunday 12 April 2026 starting at 1pm with special support acts. Bring your own chairs and/or blankets from 12pm and enjoy food vans and plant sales. Park near the Pearl Beach tennis courts off Opal Close (where there are toilets). It's a short bushwalk through to our open area. There is a minimal charge to cover expenses of holding this community event. BOOK NOW!


No Opera in the Arboretum in 2026.

The Rotary Club of Woy Woy have chosen not to hold an Opera in the Arboretum event in 2026. The event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity over the past 20 years and all the past organisers and performers are to be congratulated.

ABOUT THE ARBORETUM

The Arboretum, established in Pearl Beach since 1976, is a natural botanic garden open to the public for free. Our Arboretum is a sanctuary for rare and threatened plant species, spanning 5.5 hectares of land in the Pearl Beach community. Sorry no domestic animals, fires, BBQs or smoking are allowed in the Arboretum except with special permission.
