Pearl Beach Annual Tree Day Competition 2024 

The Pearl Beach community greatly values its mature trees and its bushland setting.  An objective of the Pearl Beach Progress Association (PBPA) is “to protect and enhance the environment and encourage nature conservation within the village of Pearl Beach”.  Similarly the objectives of the Pearl Beach Arboretum are to: (a) to protect, enhance, maintain and manage the Crommelin Native Arboretum at Pearl Beach, N.S.W.; and (b) to promote and encourage nature conservation at Pearl Beach and elsewhere.  Both the PBPA and the Arboretum are not for profit entities and donations are always welcome.  Donations to the Arboretum are tax deductible.

There prizes for artworks, photographs and poems inspired by a tree (or trees) as follows:

• Best Artwork over 16 ($125)

• Best Artwork 8-16 years ($50)

• Best Artwork 4-7 years ($30)

• Best Photo over 16 ($125)

• Best Photo 8-16 years ($50)

• Best Poem over 16 ($125)

• Best Poem 8-16 years of age ($50)​

There may also be some highly commended works.  If there are no entries worthy of a prize, no prize will be given in that category.  The decision of the selection committee will be final.  Prize money can only be paid via electronic transfer to your bank account.  The Pearl Beach Progress Association and the Crommelin Native Arboretum Inc. will hold joint copyright of the works submitted with the artists or author.

if you are under 18 years of age you will also need to give us the name and contact details of your legal guardian, or school teacher.

ENTRIES MUST BE EMAILED BY 5PM, THURSDAY 25 JULY 2024. ONLY TWO ENTRIES PER PERSON.
