Tree Day 2023

Volunteers at the Arboretum had a wonderful time planting 100 trees, shrubs and groundcovers generously donated by Apunga Native Nursery at Mangrove Mountain. Some images of the great day are below. We welcome new volunteers inlcuding in our propagation area. Working bees are usually on the third Sunday of each month followed by a yarn and a delicious morning tea. On Sunday August 20 we will follow the working bee with our Anniversary picnic!

Also as part of Tree Day 2023 we partnered with the Environment Group (subcommittee of the Pearl Beach Progress Association) to hold an Art/Photo/Poetry competition. The results are in the video below.

ABOUT THE ARBORETUM

The Arboretum, established in Pearl Beach since 1976, is a natural botanic garden open to the public for free. Our Arboretum is a sanctuary for rare and threatened plant species, spanning 5.5 hectares of land in the Pearl Beach community. Sorry no domestic animals, fires, BBQs or smoking are allowed in the Arboretum except with special permission.
